Following a manic few weeks of editing/teaching/journo-snapping/ late night papping/code hacking busy-ness I found myself with an almost weekend off….what to do? Retreat to the bunker and bash on with more designs/posters/blog updates is what…happy days

Croyde Surf Club Presents the Mojito Pro 2010. This is open event in which all over 18′s are welcome. We’ll have a 5pm start with a no-hold’s barred expression session, followed by the presentations and the ‘real’ competition in the Blue Groove afterwards. The ‘entrance fee’ (tbc) will ALL be ‘donated’ back into your bellies via alcohol. The winner(s) of the contest will also be awarded with jugs of the evenings chosen cocktail. Mojito of course! The awards are to be decided, but something like… most drop in’s, best wave, best dressed etc. might stand a look in! The more the merrier, and lets make this a good social event from CSC like the good ol days.

Wavedreamer has released a teaser trailer for his upcoming film ONEDAY-Woolacombe. Looks and sounds great, though I would say that as I filmed some of the water sequences. Well done to all involved and can’t wait to see the full feature come Novemeber. Click for more photos from the day

New surf photo galleries uploaded…sun surf and another dawn till dusk mission on the North Devon coast. Not the epic conditions we’d all hoped for but a good day in the water none the less. Surf photo action from Saunton and Croyde, enjoy……….

The lunatic has taken over the assylumn, or more accuratly I am now in full control of my own self hosted WordPress website. This means I can do anything I want(apparently). So I’m tinkering away behind the scenes changing and developing the layout and functionality of this site -new gallery displays,slideshows, ecommerce. That means there are broken links, pages missing etc etc etc. I’m trying to resolve the problems, but please be patient. At least you can’t hear all the swearing that’s currently holding the site together. Pages may change, mutate, dissappear but hopefully we should see some fun stuff and MORE PHOTOS!!

I was over in Woolacombe yesterday to get some sunset photos. I thought I’d park up on Marine Drive to get a more elevated angle. I took a series of images using various wide and telephoto lenses. Just as the sun slipped over the Horizon I witnessed a vivid flash as I shot a burst of frames. Read the rest of this entry »
