Sunday Times Weston Bike Article

Commissioned last week by the Sunday Times to cover the Weston Bike race in Weston-Super-Mare. They’d sent their intrepid travel correspondent, and all round action man, Steve Bleach to compete in the 3hr enduro quad race on saturday.
Having only had one previous experience on quad, a half day thrashing it round a quarry under the guidance of 10 time World Quad Champ Paul Winrow, he was dispatched into the lunacy of a 340 competitor beach race over monster sand dunes. Lucky for him I was there to document his survival, though I did say a photo of him being loaded onto an ambulance following a spectacular crash would make a great copy. He grinned and thanked me for the encouragement..sort of.
He finished with all his bones intact, more than can be said for some and can count himself among the select band of nutters that can say they’ve done a Weston. Read Steve’s In-Gear article on the Timesonline.
