At the begininng of the year I spent a couple of weeks shooting production and promotional shots for the feature length debut of a talented director/writer by the name of Trevor Garlick. “A wedding most strange” was filmed entirely in North Devon and tells the tale of Danny Weatherill (played by Chris Finch) and his efforts to find love and get married in just 2 weeks before he loses his inheritance under the terms of his fathers will.

I joined a great cast and crew and got to hang out and watch the story unfold one disjointed scene at a time. As always there was plenty of waiting around for followed by a frantic few minutes snapping, but it gave me plenty of time to shoot profile shots and behind the scenes stuff.
A little selction of whats been released so far
Shooting on properly lit sets is always fun but watcing and learning setups that worked from the top notch riggers & sparkies was really interesting and informative, wish I could light every shoot I do with that level of control.
The film is in post-production now, I’m looking forward to seeing the finished piece, but for now here’s a trailer.
