Good grief, what a mid-summer weekend GoldCoast Oceanfest turned out to be. We had most types of weather over the 3 days but there were smiles all the way through.
Sun, sea, surf and music were billed and that’s just what we got along with a fair bit of mud and a slight breeze!

Massive thanks to Ian, Ornella, Gordon, Andy and Dan for their hard work over the weekend, same time next year?

It’s that time of year again as the Goldcoast Oceanfest family meets in a field overlooking the beach for a weekend of sport, music, fun and friends. Looking through this years program has jogged memories of years gone by, and the expectation for the weekend ahead no matter what the weather decides to do. Looks like an epic line-up of music for all three days and not just the big-name headline acts, there’s going to be lots of local noise to.
You’ll see me and the team snapping away all weekend so don’t forget to say hi and “smile for the camera “. Photos from Goldcoast will be available to view post event (once we’ve got over the fuzziness) Hope to see you there……

Well It’s been a massive effort, shackled to the computer for what seems and eternity sorting and editing, but photos from Goldcoast Oceanfest are now up and available to view. We had a great team of snappers again this year, with a couple of new additions. Well done to all involved

As head of the Goldcoast Oceanfest photography team, I’m responsible for dealing with the thousands of photos taken over the course of the 3 day festival. The 2012 team did a smashing job once again. All the Photos from 2008 to 2012 are here so have a look round and enjoy.

Just had to grab a few shots of this guy the other night. Ray Macunella is frontman of “When Alcohol Matters” a top notch ska & rudeboy outfit who got the whole place stomping…sounded great and they had 4 saxophones!
