Croyde Surf Club ran the Steve McKewan memorial contest today, the delayed finale of the clubs 2010 season was a brutal test of endurance for the groms sent to test the monstrous conditions…..a historic moment saw the guys elect to surf  the all-in Open shoot-out  at the point where Ossian claimed victory.

“2010 Devon Surf Team”

This is the happy crew I joined for a raiding party on the Spainish Maine.  The Devon team arrived to chants of “Green Army” and left a trail of amused & bemused locals as we went. Didn’t have great waves, but we had fantastic team spirit that grew as the trip progressed. Big thanks to everyone who made the teams participation possible. Croyde Surf Club kicked off their 2010 contest season  on Saturday 27th May. The Al Rannochan memorial contest drew a great entry with divisions rammed with eager riders keen to remember the life of the legendary former club chairman.

Early morning for once, dragged my sorry ass down to Croyde for dawn. Pretty sizey but not really doing it. The only thing that brigthened my day was the stray firework that is Scott. Check out his royal greenness……thought I’d bung this up before we hot foot it to Lyndaka. Anyone coming?
